One of the things about living on an island is the type of landcape you are exposed to. But the majority of this islands beauty spots ar in the North. Its hard to find a setting worthy of being captured on canvas. Or maybe I have grown so used to seeing them that they no longer strik my eye. I waited one year for a clump of yellow poui to flower. This scene was a row of trees around the savannah......but now there is construction going on behind it....so scrap that idea. Anyway here is a painting done, early morning light......there were lots of shadows. Love it.
