Since the end of 2023 I have been trying to change my painting style. I wanted to branch out from the attempts at realism and the dragonflies for a while to see if anything else sparks my interest. I wanted to explore for a while.
What followed was loads of crap, paintings that I pelted ......and things that got painted over a million times till I was happy with what you see above.
Happy with the colours, the layout and proportions and happy with the style.
Since I painted this one though I cannot reproduce a similar style onto another canvas.
Below are two previous attempts to change my style. I was not happy with these, even though I was happy with the theme.
